Being an R&D developer

You will contribute to the smooth working of the IT department by taking over the tasks of design and development as well as driving upgrades of IT applications for the company’s information system.

Your responsibilities

R&D developers work with technical project managers, clients and sales representatives to manage and deliver IT projects

The R&D engineer’s main responsibilities are:

  • Analysing and formalising user needs
  • Designing and developing the application around the associated technologies
  • Respecting norms and standards
  • Monitoring the work carried out (developments, tests) and testing the application’s operation via a series of unit tests
  • Verifying developments being implemented
  • Working on the committee monitoring the project.

After the application has become operational, you will be involved in carrying out improvement and corrective maintenance assignments and drawing up technical documentation.

Your experience

You are a Young Java Session Graduate (gaining work experience in web IT/mobile/big data or on a work/study programme). You may also be on a Mainframe Session (experience in scientific IT: matlab, catia, simulink and autocad, also gaining work experience or on a work/study programme).

You have had at least 2 years of experience in the field of development (new technologies or mainframe).

Your expertise

Enthusiastic about development and intellectually curious, you are a good listener and can work independently. You will be methodical, willing, responsive in your approach and volunteer proposals and know how to be adaptable. You will have good social skills and a focus on continuous improvement.

Your technical skills

  • Full command of IT development tools: associated languages and frameworks
  • Regular technological watch
  • Knowledge of technical English and full command of French spelling.
