*2012 On a like-for-like basis: after deduction of the turnover of Insoft Software GmbH (€ 1.23 M) acquired on 30/06/2011 and Empeiria (€ 1.41 M) consolidated from 01/01/2012

Infotel registered an excellent first quarter 2012 with a turnover of € 68.8 M, an increase of 14.6% on the first quarter of 2011. After a first quarter with very strong growth (+22.3%), the 7.0% increase in turnover during the second quarter (+4.2% on a like-for-like basis) is not representative of the underlying trend for the second half.

Excluding the contribution of Insoft Software GmbH (Software division) and Empeiria (Services division) acquired in 2011 and incorporated respectively on 30 June 2011 and 1 January 2012, the activity displayed a 11.9% rise, with organic growth above market.

First half 2012: sustained activity and expansion of the service desks

The Services division (94% of turnover) grew 14.1% to € 64.7 M (+4.6 % in Q2). Activity continued in all sectors except Automobile, with an expansion of several major service desks in the Insurance, Pensions, Banking and Aeronautics sectors. Almost 120 people were recruited during the first half, and the activity rate remains among the standard rate for the Group.

The Software division (6% of turnover) grew 24.2% to € 4.1 M, of which +69.8% in Q2 (+40.3% on a like-for-like basis). The activity recorded two very good quarters in terms of royalties resulting from IBM sales. In France, sales activity was welcomed in the market, however the “wait-and-see” attitude and relatively long decision-making processes push purchasing previsions in the second half of the year.

Confidence in forecasts for 2012

The incorporation of Empeiria, strengthening the Services division, continues to make progress and reinforces Infotel‘s geographical network in the north. Infotel‘s positioning in strategic activity for key accounts enables it to continue a satisfactory level of activity.

In parallel, the acquisition of Insoft Software GmbH, designed to become the international distribution platform of the Software division, has enabled the Group to enhance commercialisation of its software (notably, the archiving software Arcsys) in Germany.

Given this good first half and the solidness of the Group’s economic model (almost 70% of Services performed as service contracts), Infotel is confident in its annual forecasts and will confirm its targets during the publication of the half-year results.

Publication of half-year results 2010: 29 August 2012 (after trading)
