Infotel posted growth of close to 9% in the fourth quarter of 2016, thanks in particular to the solid performance by the Services division. Software also generated a sound level of business in the fourth quarter, with turnover rising more than 17%.

For FY 2016 as a whole, Infotel published entirely organic turnover growth of 9.1% to €190.6m, in a market that grew 2.8% according to an estimate by Syntec Numérique.

Growth driven by the Services division

The Services division (95.5% of total sales) posted an increase in turnover of 8% in the fourth quarter. For the year as a whole, growth was close to 9%.

The excellent performance by the Services division is due to activity that remains underpinned by service centres at most of Infotel’s large clients, in particular in the Banking and Services sectors, with ongoing projects at Banque de France, Banque Populaire, Caisse d’Épargne, BNP Paribas, EPO and Air France.

Throughout the year, the Group continued its hiring policy, with 383 new employees. The inter-contract rate remained very low for the year as a whole, at 2.1%.

The Banking sector consolidated its position as the largest sector of activity for Infotel, accounting for more than 34% of Services turnover: digitisation is impacting the banking sector, which will continue its transformation over the next few years. Industry accounted for 27% of turnover and Services – Transport 23%.

The Software division (4.5% of total sales) recorded significant growth, with €1.47m in royalties for IBM in the fourth quarter, bringing the total for the year to €5.35m.
