GOOD GROWTH OF ACTIVITY IN 2008

In 2008 Infotel displayed a growth of activity of close to 5%, € 88.5 M. The turnover for the last quarter was stable, at € 23.2 M (+0.7%). The Group benefited from its status as main partner in the service desks for key accounts, in which databases are a strategic development line.

  • Services displayed a growth of 5.6% for the year with an inter-contract rate at a low level of 2.2% in the second half.
  • Software registered a slight decline in annual turnover, although the level of royalties stayed the same.

Profitability for 2008 should approximate the very good levels of profitability in 2007.

FORECAST: INFOTEL CONSERVATIVE BUT POSITIVE FOR 2009

Infotel approaches 2009 with confidence.

Regarding Services, the sectorial analysis of Infotel’s client portfolio demonstrates a limited exposure to the current economic climate, due to the needs of recurring investments in markets where the Group is present (Retail banking, Insurance-Pensions, Services, Industry and Transport): to-date: Infotel has good visibility for the coming months with a recurring revenue that makes up 80% of the Services turnover.

For Software, the good level of sales made by IBM in the last quarter of 2008 promises a good first quarter in 2009.

Infotel is supported by a new medium-term strategic plan to redirect its development. This action plan as well as the Group’s targets for 2009 will be developed with the publishing of the annual results.

Infotel also announced the suspension of its installation in Luxembourg started in 2008, as well as the sale of its participation in Numéri+, with these conservative measures designed to preserve the Group’s operating efficiency.
